Jing (Julia) Ma is a Senior Lecturer at Auckland University of Technology (AUT), specialising in autonomous and intelligent systems, reinforcement learning, and multi-agent coordination. Her research focuses on data-driven adaptive traffic control, swarm intelligence, and distributed control frameworks for complex engineering applications. She is dedicated to innovative teaching in STEM research methods, nature-inspired computing and optimization, and software architecture, and she actively supervises postgraduate research projects.Dr Ma also demonstrates academic leadership through mentoring and Women in Tech initiatives, promoting equity and supporting professional development within engineering and computing disciplines.
