Akbar Ghobakhlouis a senior lecturer and the Data Science Major Leader in the Department of Data Science & AI (DSAI) at Auckland University of Technology (AUT). His teaching courses include Data Analysis, Data Mining and Machine Learning, and Foundations of Data Science.His applied research addresses environmental and geospatial challenges, with projects in smart sensor deployment, environmental data visualisation, air quality forecasting, precision agriculture (including viticulture and micro climate monitoring), and AIdriven bioacoustic monitoring of wildlife.
