Mathew Legg (Senior Member, IEEE) received his BSc, MSc, and PhD in Physics from the University of Auckland in 2003, 2007, and 2012 respectively. He is a Head of School of Engineering at New Zealand School of Education College, Auckland, New Zealand. Mathew has led European Union projects related to shipping, power transmission, and aeronautic industries. He has also worked on MBIE Smart Ideas projects in the agricultural and forestry sectors. His research interests include acoustics, smart agriculture, sensor and hardware development, and engineering education. He currently is working on an MBIE project related to investigating ultrasonic painless horn disbudding with Massey bet school.

Mathew Legg，IEEE 高级会员，2003年、2007年及2012年分别于奥克兰大学获得物理学学士、硕士及博士学位。现任新西兰教育学院工程学院院长。曾主导多项与航运、电力传输及航空工业相关的欧盟项目，并参与了新西兰商业、创新与就业部（MBIE）在农业及林业领域的“智慧理念”项目。其研究兴趣涵盖声学、智慧农业、传感器与硬件开发以及工程教育。目前，他正参与一项由MBIE资助的研究项目，与梅西大学兽医学院合作，探索利用超声波实现无痛犊牛去角技术。
