Tun

Tun is a Lecturer in Mechatronics and Dynamics in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences under the Faculty of Design & Creative Technologies at Auckland University of Technology (AUT). His teaching focuses on mechatronics and robotics, particularly on the underlying principles and foundations for robotics. In addition, he likes to share his international teaching and working experience, covering Design-Thinking, development of Mechatronics and Robotics systems, and theoretical contents with practical applications, to the students. His research focuses on energy-optimal control of unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) in offshore aquaculture, with ongoing efforts to generalize these methods to optimal control and navigation of other autonomous systems. During his PhD candidacy at AUT, Tun was a doctoral scholar supported by the Blue Economy Cooperative Research Centre (BE-CRC), Australia, where his research focused on energy-optimal control of unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) for offshore aquaculture applications. Prior to relocating to New Zealand in 2022, he spent 13 years in Singapore, where he pursued academic training (diploma to PhD coursework) and gained professional experience across industry and academia.

Tun ,现任奥克兰理工大学设计与创意技术学部工程、计算机与数学科学学院机械工程系机电一体化与动力学方向讲师。教学工作聚焦机电一体化与机器人学,尤其侧重机器人技术的核心原理与基础理论。乐于与学生分享其国际教学工作经历,内容涵盖设计思维、机电一体化与机器人系统开发,以及理论与实践相结合的专业知识。他的研究方向为近海养殖中无人水下航行器的能量最优控制,并致力于将这些方法推广至其他自主系统的优化控制与导航领域。在奥克兰理工大学攻读博士学位期间,Tun 曾获澳大利亚蓝色经济合作研究中心资助,担任博士学者,其研究聚焦于面向近海养殖应用的无人水下航行器能量最优控制。曾在新加坡生活工作十三年,在此期间完成了学术训练,积累了丰富的工业界、学术界从业经验。
